Visiting Lingshan Scenic Area – Jiangsu, China

Lingshan Grand Buddha (灵山大佛; Grand Buddha at Ling Shan) is a bronze Amitabha standing Buddha outdoor located on the north shore of Lake Tai in Binhu District, Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province, China.
On October 20, 1994, the foundation stone laying ceremony of the Grand Buddha. By November 15, 1997, the Lingshan Grand Buddha was completed and consecrated.
It is one of the largest Buddha statues in China and also in the world. The monument is 88 meters (289 ft) in total height, including 9 m lotus pedestal.
A long stone stairway leads upward, each step inviting quiet reflection. Climbing the 216 steps, known as the “Path to Ascend the Clouds”, leads to the Buddha statue.
Lush hills surround the giant bronze Buddha, who stands with one hand raised in blessing, gazing out across the valley.
More than just a monument, it is a spiritual destination where art, faith, and landscape merge into an unforgettable experience.
It is a landmark of the Lingshan Scenic Area (灵山景区) which named a AAAAA-level national tourist attraction.

The Lingshan Grand Buddha, along with the Tian Tan Buddha (天壇大佛) in Hong Kong, the Leshan Giant Buddha (乐山大佛) in Sichuan Province, the Yungang Grottoes (云冈石窟) in Shanxi Province, and the Longmen Grottoes (龙门石窟) in Luoyang, Henan Province, are collectively known as the “Five Great Buddhas of China.”
